Week 8

Dear Folks....
It's been while since you've heard from us - the baby is nearly here (due date tomorrow) and with that in mind we've deliberately kept a little bit quieter than usual.
One project we can't keep quiet about any longer is Danny Boyle's Frankenstein at the National Theatre, London (we supplied 1000+ Filament Lightbulbs and 3 kilometres of Fabric Cable - attached images © Nick Murray / National Theatre). Tickets sold out months ago, but this email is to tell you about tonight's live broadcast to 200+ cinemas across the world. For most of you this will be one and only chance to see it.
Putting our lighting to one side, it's a unique and completely brilliant piece of theatre and if you can get tickets for tonight's broadcast at your local cinema, grab them (find your nearest cinema here). A busload of our friends and family watched it at Margate cinema last week - it really is a magical experience.
Fingers crossed, next time you hear from us we'll be parents....

Dear Folks...
We are excited about the launch of Labour & Wait's new shop for two reasons. Firstly, because we designed and supplied the lighting and it is hands down the most successful scheme we've ever got involved in. Secondly, because it was L&W that gave us enough self belief to set up our business in the first place and we like stories that go full circle.
It also means that we've supplied lighting to two of the six 'Best New Shops' featured on Time Out Magazine's recent cover (Lily Allen's & Labour & Wait). It might sound dreadfully self obsessed to tell you that, but we've worked our fingers to the bloody bone this year and we like to think our success isn't just all a big coincidence.
The stars of the show are rewired task lights which are now available at HistoricLighting.co.uk for £145 - pricey but nicey. Take your pick from the 20 plus colours / styles at FabricCable.co.uk. The task lights can be supplied with either a long cable + plug or with a short cable and a wall mountable pattress / gland (as seen at the shop).
Fabric Cable has been taking over our lives recently and we'll be launching a new range of Fabric Cable related stuff in the New Year (Sophie's last project before bringing our new arrival into the world). For those of you who share the dream we've shot and edited a little film of the weaving process. Music (as ever) dates from when Stan was in a band.
